Privacy policy and cookies
We process personal data only to the extent needed to handle your enquiry, in line with the GDPR and Slovak Act No. 18/2018.
Controller
The website operator and data controller is BAJAN IT s.r.o., Garbiarska 11, 064 01 Stará Ľubovňa, company ID 46197168. If your enquiry concerns digital services (websites, e-shops, applications, marketing), data is also processed by Ján Bača – BAJAN, Mierová 18, 064 01 Stará Ľubovňa, company ID 44465416. What data we process
From the contact form: name, e-mail, phone (optional), topic and message. From the chat with our assistant: the conversation and any contact details you provide. Technically: IP address to protect against spam and abuse (short-term).
Purpose and legal basis
We use the data only to reply to your enquiry and prepare an offer – legal basis: pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Protecting the website against spam is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics cookies are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
How long we keep data
Enquiries and conversations are kept for up to 12 months unless a contract follows. If it does, retention follows the contract and statutory periods (e.g. accounting). Anti-spam records are deleted continuously.
Recipients
We do not share data with third parties for marketing. It is processed only by our processors: hosting and e-mail provider (WebSupport s.r.o., Slovakia) and, for the chat, the language model provider (OpenAI, USA – transfer based on EU standard contractual clauses). Please do not enter sensitive data into the chat.
Cookies
Necessary cookies (chat session, form protection, storing your cookie choice) are essential for the website to work and do not require consent. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics – traffic measurement) and marketing cookies (displaying advertising and measuring its effectiveness, possibly set by advertising partners) are used only with your consent and are not loaded before it. We keep your choice for 6 months, then ask again; as proof of consent we record the time, your choice, the banner wording version and an anonymised IP address. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, the right to object and to withdraw consent. Just write to jano@bajan.sk. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava.
